For those of you who are eager to know how to Get A Grip, here’s a pre-season checkup we highly recommend you follow before hitting the road.
- Battery. It’s incredibly important to replace a battery that is weak. A batter that doesn’t not have a strong charge is more susceptible to losing complete charge when the temperatures drop below freezing. Avoiding any chance of becoming stranded is essential.
- Lights. Turn on your headlights and make sure that they work properly. This includes examining your blinkers, flashers, brights, headlights, taillights, reverse lights and brake lights. Don’t forget about checking your license plate lights, too.
- Brakes. Without reliable brakes, you won’t get very far. If you hear your brakes squeaking or there’s unusual pulling to one side when you brake, it’s an indication that you need to get your brakes checked.
